Nine from Sonic Prime

Nine’s Origin
In the first episode the Shard Prisim was shattered which gave ua the first clue that each shard was going to be its own universe. This was infact proven to be the case later in the series. Nine was born because of the Prism breaking an is an alternate reality version of Tails. A reality whhere Sonic was not around to help Nine in his bullied past.
Nine’s Role in Sonic Prime Storyline
Aside from his origins, another intriguing aspect of Nine is his role in the storyline of Sonic Prime. Nine will play a pivotal part in the series, potentially as an antagonist or a catalyst for major events.
At first Nine only wants to be left alone with his lab. But eventually gets caught up in Sonics mess and then captured by the Chaos Council where he is forced to work for the council. There he is able to pass important information to Sonic so he can try to obtain the Shards before the Council.
However, while Nine is trying to work things behind the Chaos Councils back, he is tricked into helping the Council to form a plan to use the collected shards against Sonic.
Alignment: Good or Evil?
It can be difficult to tell what Nine`s alignment is. Some of the other characters in Sonic Prime think that he is actually a badguy. Despite what others think – Sonic believes that Nine is a good. It will be interesting to see how things turn out with the cliff hanger at the end of season 2.
Shard Restoration:
Everybody is after the shards in Sonic Prime, and Nine is also trying to obtain them. It is believed that when the shards are restored to Green-Hill then things will go back to normal. This is what both Sonic and Shadow believe – However is that really a good thing? Yes it may bring all of their old friends back. But Nine hints to something that Sonic, nor Shadow, have probably thought about. What will happen Nine and all of the people living in the other realms that were created by the Shards?
By Nine saying “What do you think will happen to me” I believe that Nine knows that there is a chance that he will disappear when the Shards are restored. If this is the case then Nine would be against Sonic for survival and not necessarily because he is evil.
